Getting Your Rolls:

This section has moved over to here :  The BREEDING Center!A New Process for BREEDING is Here !I promise it's not a big change but should be super helpful going forward! In order to breed your @Peafowl-Friesian, you must fill out the form provided below and post it in a new comment on this very journal - NO MORE NOTEs!!! You must fill out the form correctly and meet all requirements or your request will be denied or simply ignored/skipped over. This very journal already reminds you of what you need to get a Breeding rolled. :]Rules Reminders :: Same concept as when you sent a note !Only text/hyperlinks NOT images!!!! ~ The only images you should see are from the Admins doing the replies to log finished and approved designs. ^-^ Do NOT Delete your Posts Please! If you need to fix something, you can edit the comment as long as it's under 24hrs since it was posted. If you can't edit, just reply to yourself with the correction. (If it should be needed, we'll ask you too or do it ourselves.)One (1) Pair per Form/Comment! Want to do more than one breeding? Submit a new comment for each one please. This means a fully new comment with a new form filled out, NOT a reply to your previous posted form. Both Sire and Dam references need to be accepted into the group. Breeding Pictures added into the group's "Breeding Pictures" folder. One (1) pair per image. Submitted foal designs need to include the link to the original breeding comment. This means the one containing the form, not skipping down to the genos reply. Yes, process is the same, just instead of a note ~ it's now a comment link! Click the sample if you're not familiar with how to get the link. SAMPLE: CLICK HERE! To Transfer a Geno: Reply to the comment with the genos when you give/trade/sale it to someone! This is IMPORTANT to alert us for updating our logs/ID system on top of it being their needed proof to having ownership. - You can still keep track wherever you prefer for your own records, but that won't be official. You NEED to reply to the genos post to make it official for us to honor it! SAMPLE: CLICK HERE! The Slots Rule still applies! In order for you to post a form to collect the genos/rolls; you must have permission and be marked correctly on the ref and/or have a valid permission/affiliate source in order for the breeding to be processed. Please do NOT include the following genes in your form since these already have a random chance with every roll.Birdcatcher Spots, Brindle / Reverse Brindle, Lacing, Vitiligo, Bilateral Gyandromorph, Two-Toned, Gulastra Plume and Failed PlumeTHE FORM ::Number of breedings: Breeding Picture(s): Sire: Color: Mane: MMO: xDam: Color: Mane: MMO: Approval/Affiliates: , The Form Explained ~Number of breedings: [must match the number of breeding pictures]Breeding Picture(s): [if more than one upload, put them on separate lines for full URLs or if doing hyperlinks use commas , or and between them]Sire: [NAME AND REFERENCE]Color: Example: WhiteMane: Example: Plume Mane carries Striped ManeMMO: Stands for Markings/Mutations/Oddities - Example: Blackshoulder carries Pied [if doesn't have any, please put None or N/A]xDam: [NAME AND REFERENCE]Color: Example: Red/Java Green HybridMane: Example: Solid ManeMMO: Stands for Markings/Mutations/Oddities - Example: Blackshoulder carries Pied [if doesn't have any, please put None or N/A]Approval/Affiliates: [journal, comment link or screenshot for permission proof to slots if not already written on the horse's ref slot section. If this does not apply, you can erase this line or put none, n/a or something like that instead]Click for CORRECT Examples and Click for WRONG Examples, For the full explanation on the breeding process, please visit the OTHER JOURNAL where it covers everything else in great detail! Please give us your patience and understanding as this is new for us, there is always chances of tweaking or changing how this process goes. For now this is the plan and hopefully it works easy enough! If we need to change something, you'll be informed. Have a Question?! You may send the Group a Note, ask in the questions channel if you're in our discord server OR reply to the featured questions comment!... Breedings are to be done with a new comment on that journal from now on. No more breeding :note: notes!

GENERAL RULES:

- You must have ONE breeding image per FOAL that you wish to be rolled for.

Only ONE pairing per IMAGE!!! (Explained more in the breeding images section below).

- You may submit one pairing per breeding note. If you have multiple images for the same pairing, please include them in the same note. So long as you have all of the breeding images required, you may breed a pair as many times as you would like in a single breeding note.

- If you have multiple different pairings, please send multiple notes.

- Sire and Dam must have complete adult references (a solo reference, we no longer accept the collection sheets) before they can be bred. The reference must be in the group before a breeding can take place. If a reference sheet is not in the group, you will be asked to submit it. Once it is accepted, reply to the admin comment to let them know that both references are in the group. If you know your reference is not in the group yet, please wait for it to be accepted before submitting a breeding!

- Do not send multiple notes of the same breeding with the same breeding images. If you feel you have waited too long for rolls, please contact the group via note (without resending all of the information - just let us know what it is you're waiting on), or contact us on the Peafowl Discord Server! However, please realize that our admins are very busy people and are not available to be on 24/7!

- Rolling for users who have been suspended/blocked from the group/breeding rights/foals will get you into hot water, so don't do it!

- Do not delete or hide your note without replying to it to explain why you're doing it. If there is a problem that needs to be addressed by admin, re-note the group with the link to the old note and EXPLAIN what needs changed! If you are hiding notes just to resend them to try and get your rolls completed faster, we will notice and that behavior will not be tolerated.

- You may only sell slots to peafries you own or slots that are marked down in your name. You may not sell slots to Peafries that do not have references or who are not owned by you.

- Charcoal females (even those with the Peacock gene) cannot be bred and are inherently infertile.

- !! Breedings can not be done with an inbred horse or if the pair share the same horse in both of their lineages. The breeding will result in a miscarriage (aka fails) every time. !! (This might change once the group moves, but for the time being, this is how inbreeding/inbred horses are handled)

:star: Slots you have sold or gifted to another member must be included with the following information before any rolls can be processed using your horse.

This includes: USERNAME of the person who is granted permission to use the slot, the HORSE NAME (which is also the link to the horse) that they have permission to use (if that's been specified/required for the slot) and then the NUMBER of slots you are letting them have/use with your horse.

This is to help prevent people from "slot stealing" and breeding things when they do not have permission, or when the payment for a slot has not been completed. You may add x4, x1, x20, or however many slots after.

Some basic samples that you can use:

1. @ Username - Mate Reference - #of Slots
2. @ Username - Mate Reference - #of Slots
3. @ Username - Mate Reference - #of Slots
(Add more as needed)

Example: (filled in - the format in how you space/write it; is up to you as well as long as its there we're happy)
1. x-Skeletta-xEHG Esperanza - x4
3. daughterofthestars for any stallion - 1 slot

    or some folks like to keep each slot as it's own line, so then you could do;
1. luckdown with Fall to Grace
2. luckdown with Fall to Grace
3. luckdown with Fall to Grace
4. luckdown with Fall to Grace
5. luckdown with Fall to Grace
(which equals to Luck using 5 slots on Falls to Grace xD)

:star: Specifying/tagging a username for the slots being used gives that member permission to send in the breeding note and collect the genos from that breeding! Please work out who is sending in a breeding note for a collab breeding ahead of time and plan accordingly. If both horses have slots marked for the other user in the collab, it becomes unclear who is meant to be sending in the breeding note, and Poppers will have to ask one of the members involved to confirm before proceeding.

You can still include the plans in the breeding section for keeping track if you make it clear you are sending in the Breeding Note yourself rather than giving another person permission, such as:

1. My breeding with Mate Reference x3
2. Mate Reference - #of Slots
3. @ yourusername - Collab breeding with @ theirusername - #of Slots

:star: If the horse involved has unlimited slots available and you want someone to have permanent breeding rights, you can use a format like the following:

Example: (filled in)
1. gyngercookie x Unlimited
2. Railguns x Unlimited

Reminder: This is ONLY acceptable for colors that have unlimited slots! Which means, you can't do this for Exotic, Gemstone or Birthday colors. Any other information you track (breeding pics, breeding notes, foal designs, offspring, etc) is optional and up to personal preference, as long as there is a username and slot permissions present.

An EXCEPTION to this rule (only for horses of colors that have unlimited slots) is if the person sending in the breeding note can provide proof of alternate breeding permissions. A link to an affiliate journal that tags your username (must be public so the admins can view it obviously), a comment where an agreement was made with the horse's owner (if they haven't updated the description on the reference) OR a screenshot to prove permission granted in notes/dm/private message places. ~ More info on thisRule Update on Breeding SLOTs!

BREEDING IMAGE RULES:

- Breeding images must be artwork drawn specifically for Peafowl Friesians and each image must be unique. You cannot use pre-made line art or reuse your sketches or line art, even partially. You CAN use or color unique art that you specifically commissioned as breeding pictures for your horses as long as it follows all the rules below for the image/description.
:bulletpurple: This rule is the same as always, HOWEVER, it has been noted by the group's founders and admin that for some styles of breeding picture, it has gotten progressively harder for admin to tell the breeding pictures and poses apart as unique artworks. When the line art varies only slightly from one upload to the next, it takes much longer to compare them and make sure that no one is using the same drawings multiple times. We have to check for this because not doing so wouldn't be fair to the members who DO follow this rule. We encourage you to vary up the pose, expression, angle and style from your past breeding pictures in order to help admin tell your breeding images apart with just a quick once-over. It will get your breeding notes processed with less waiting time and make all our lives easier.
:new:(Added Oct 2021):new:

- Breeding images must be at least a headshot for horse forms, and full body for bird forms.
:bulletpurple: Horse forms MUST include some forelock/mane, at least one visible eye (minimum a black or white dot - white helps if the markings around the eye are all black/really dark [large enough to be seen!]) and at least one visible ear. Peafowl breedings MUST include one visible eye (same minimum) and a visible tail.
:new:(Added Sept 2021):new:

- Breeding images must be large enough to make out the horses' or birds' designs and features clearly. If we cannot tell which horse is which, the breeding will be declined until you make new breeding images. If the horses are missing markings, you will be asked to add them.

- Breeding images MUST be colored. They can be digital or traditional, chibi or realistic style, sketches or polished artwork, but we must be able to see their markings and recognize the horse's design. Line art without enough color to tell which horse is which cannot be accepted. Whatever is visible of the horse in the art must be colored in (as opposed to partial color and partial line art).
:bulletorange: Grayscale was recognized up until recently, but because that option was not used very often and it can be difficult for admin to make out designs in grayscale (in order to identify the horses involved), we decided to remove it for now to simplify things.
:new:(Removed Sept 2021):new:

- All breeding images should be submitted to the "Art - Breeding Pictures" folder in the group gallery before the breeding note is sent to the group. (Here) If the breeding picture is not yet in the group, you will be asked to submit it before the breeding is completed. Pictures sent to that folder currently auto-accept.

- Only ONE pairing per IMAGE!!! Ex; if you want to breed Joe x Sally and another of Storm x Harmony they need to be on separate images. You can NOT put the breeding images of all 4 of these horses onto a single image. However, multiple breeding pics on one image for one pairing is allowed and encouraged, and it is also acceptable to do multiple breeding picture uploads for one breeding note. You would just need to include all the breeding picture links in the note you send in for that pairing. (Please keep it manageable for our sakes!)

Include the same information in the description as you send in for your breeding note. If you do not want to include it all that is fine but what IS REQUIRED is working links of both the sire and dam - in text/hyperlink format please. NOT as thumbs (since we've discovered DA has been randomly deleting thumb links >.>) The lineage is not required but can be added if you want too. OwO Some of us find it to be useful with it already included when it comes time to ref the foal later, rather that be you or if you sell the foal to someone else. ^^

** SAMPLES OF CORRECT BREEDING IMAGES AND DESCRIPTIONS!

** SAMPLES OF what NOT to do!

!! While we understand that doing multiple pairings per image was more convenient for the members, it was something that had to change to streamline everything the admins do afterwards. It was very challenging, confusing and required much more time to roll foals and accept foal designs from multiple pairings. If a member tries to submit multiple breedings together, you will be asked to separate them or your rolls won't be processed.

FOAL RULES:

PLEASE NOTE: Yes, we do allow you to use your own foal lines or a shared base that you find,
it would help us out a LOT if you drew or picked one that has a larger tail and/or mane.
Meaning it's fatter, wider or even a bit longer to give yourself plenty of room to draw the mane gene.
It makes it real difficult for us to process your foal designs when you use one that is VERY tiny; thus unclear causing us to guess.

- Limit to one breeding pair per foal sheet (more details and a template for your foal design description here)

- Place foals on sheet and the genos in the description in the same order as the rolled genos. They have numbers and those numbers must be present to identify the foals.

- You may not sell or give away designed foals before they are accepted into the group! Mark them down as 'on hold' instead.

- Foals MUST resemble the parents enough to look related, but cannot perfectly copy their markings with no changes. You can use grandparents or the primal birds for further inspiration if designs on the parents are limited, but they should be secondary to the parents. There is an older tutorial for designing hybrids (but still helpful) !

- Designs including any Markings, Mutations or Oddities that combine to cover 25% or more of their designs will be asked to include a version of said design without said markings. So if you have a foal with white markings or something else that obscures the design underneath, put a version right alongside to show what it looks like without those things!
    Examples: Link Link
Small things that cover less than 25% are okay to include without a second version and for things that affect the underlying colors like bio-luminescence or roan, including a color palette can be helpful too! We’d prefer the ‘naked’ design be uploaded on the very same image as the complete one, but understand this might make for very busy foal sheets. If you need to, you can upload the naked designs to a stash file and clearly link that in the description of your foal designs.

- Tracing, referencing, or stealing other people's designs is not permitted!

- You MUST design the foal(s) with the geno(s) you were given! You cannot change or leave out genes.

- Every foal that is rolled must be eventually created. You are allowed to give away or sell genos to other Peafowl-Friesian members! . Please comment on the breeding note in reply to the actual geno-comment with something like: Geno 2) transferred to Username to help admin know who has ownership amd/or permission to design a particular genotype.
    Example - CLICK HERE !

- Foals must be submitted to the group and accepted before they can be submitted as an adult reference.

- Do NOT submit foals more than once to the group. If you do it by accident we will decline the repeat and let you know why. If you do it repeatedly you will get a warning to stop. It will not get your foals accepted faster.

- If you include the lineage for the foals in the description, place it at the bottom after all of the required information. Admin may check it for accuracy, which will help your references get accepted faster!

- You may use personal lines, P2U lines, or free to use lines so long as you credit properly and follow the maker's rules. Please try to use or make a base that has a large enough mane and tail to clearly see the mane gene and colors.

By joining the group, you agree to follow all rules of the group. Ignorance of the rules is no excuse.
